Wings Kidz Ltd was established In October 2022 and is a charity-based organization. The program caters to children in the inner-city communities within St. James Children who participated in the program obtaining assistance in numeracy, literacy. homework assistance, character development, music and sports activities. DCBC has sponsored this organization since 2024.
During the period 2020-2022, Doctor’s Cave Bathing Club partnered with the Jamaica Boxing Board to sponsor their “Gloves Over Guns” project. This initiative is a sport for growth program that reaches out to young people in violent neighborhoods by using boxing to promote personal growth, social support, and community harmony. The partnership provided counselling for the participants to better address areas such as conflict management and interpersonal relationships. DCBC sponsored the refurbishment of the space within the bathroom facilities, boxing ring and counselling fees.
DCBC has been making donations to the Montego Bay Autism Center since 2012. The centeris a haven for children with learning disabilities such as Attention Deficit Disorder, Autism Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD) and Slow learners. The center provides tutoring from two to 18 years old. The curriculum is specially designed to ensure that each student develops their language, literacy and social skills. The center currently accommodates 105 students and will eventually expand to accommodate more students.
